The Prudhoe Gleemen Male Voice Choir was founded in the year 1903 in the nearby village of Wylam.
NEW MEMBERS ALWAYS WELCOME
We always extend a hearty welcome to anyone who would like sing with us. Open to men of any age the warm fellowship of the choir can add a new dimension to your life. Being able to read music is not essential.
We rehearse each Monday evening between 7.15pm and 9:00pm at Prudhoe Methodist Church with a break for Bank Holidays and during August each year.
The Choir perform a fairly wide range of music including sacred/oratoria works Welsh Hymns Gilbert and Sullivan Folk Songs from all over the world and musical shows (both ancient and modern!). We have a particular affinity for Northumbrian and Tyneside songs which figure greatly in our repertoire and some of which have been specially arranged for us.
