Our aims and objectives at Community Buddies
We aim to provide a professional, reliable, high standard of support to all our clients:
– All our support is given to respect your privacy, dignity, wishes and preferences and tailored to your individual needs.
- All our clients receive a high level of support by our fully trained staff.
The Aim of our vision is to offer a buddying, befriending, mentoring service in our community.
Buddying- this offers the opportunity to have a friend to accompany you to visit places and do things you wouldn’t feel confident doing alone. The buddy will help to improve your confidence and social interaction skills, while you enjoy new experiences knowing that you are safe.
Befriending- this offers companionship on a regular basis, if you can’t easily leave your home to meet with people to socialise. This could be due to being elderly, even though you have the independence to live in your own home, you may find it difficult to go out. This service really improves loneliness and will therefore improve mental health.
Mentoring- this offers assistance to asses your current capabilities and will help to improve these and even achieve new things. It is very important as it will help to improve your day to day lifestyle, by being able to discuss and worries you may have and having someone to help think of solutions.
